Characteristics

  • PC flat sheets have very good optical quality and surface finish.
  • They have excellent mechanical, thermal and electrical properties.
  • The impact strength of solid PC sheet is 200 times than that of glass.
  • PC sheet can be bent while hot or cold. It is possible to construct curved roofs and windows. The minimum radius of curvature of PC sheet is 175 times of its thickness.
  • The weight of solid PC sheet is only about half of glass.
  • PC sheets have good weather ability, i.e. they can maintain excellent properties in a wide temperature ranging from -40°C to +120°C
  • They have good formability and their recycling is easy.
  • As they are inflammable, they have found wide applications in the construction industry.
